Frequently asked questions

We install, sell and service water softeners, iron/sulfur filters, ph balancing filters, arsenic and uranium removal systems, ultra-violet light systems, large scale reverse osmosis systems in residential and commercial environments and small reverse osmosis drinking water systems. We also provide no cost in home mineral analysis and offer laboratory testing for metals and bacteria testing (laboratory testing is not free and has a cost associated with it). What does this no cost in home mineral analysis cover? This analysis covers hardness, iron, pH, manganese, tannins, total dissolved solids and smell. Any sort of testing at the laboratory will incur a cost.
Testing is recommended to be done on a regular basis. Regular can mean once per year, but it could also mean more frequently for coli-form and e-coli testing. Consult us for guidance on your particular situation. Water treatment equipment should be serviced once a year. Ultra-violet lights and their filters must be changed once per year and a yearly tune-up of your treatment equipment should be performed.
We service all makes and models of softeners, iron filters, UV lights, reverse osmosis systems and pH balancing filters. We service Clack, Autotrol, Fleck, Ecowater, Tahoe, Viqua, UV Dynamics, Sterilight, Kinetico and many older makes and models as well.
A water softener service should take approximately half an hour. An iron or sulfur filter can take half an hour as well, but it also may be longer depending on the iron levels in your water chemistry. We have competitive rates and schedule appointments around your schedule, not ours.
We travel within a two hour radius of Halifax.
